PC Show Day 1. So....

Congratulations to the organiser. A public and school holiday but the show area has been reduced to one floor compared to the March show.
The crowd was crazy yesterday even before the doors to the exhibition was opened.
It happens every year, parents with strollers and pregnant ladies going to the PC show.
I remembered the last PC show in March, a pregnant lady looked worried after seeing the crowd and she was holding her tummy dearly.
Unfortunately, the only thing that will discourage parents bringing in their kids with the stroller is when an accident happens and death occurs.
A good bargain is more important than the safety of the child.

as usual, best bargain had the longest queue. joined the queue this time.
it is ok, queued for 45 min and in the end bought some ram, thumbdrive and cf cards at low low prices.

I went there at lunch time yesterday but backoff in just 15minutes there, went to Sim Lim Square instead and got my self a iTech arrow X bluetooth ear piece at $85
The last PC show in March, I wanted to buy a SD card from Best Bargain at Suntec City but decided against it as the queue was long.
Went down to Best Bargain at Sim Lim square and the price difference was only 10 cents.:bsmilie:

Its scary also. Me & my friend were walking like crabs half the time.
Imagine if a pregnant women in her final trimester walks like a crab and all it takes is a single bump for her baby to juz drop out. :sweat:
And strollers! My god, wad the hell are those doing there in the first place?! :angry:
And due to the crazy crowd, my friend almost made an impulse decision buying a camera (he wanted to launch straight into SLR photography without much research) until I got him outta the crowd for some air, cool down, relax and talk abt the options. Eventually he settled for a prosumer instead to start learning and dat saved him a couple of thousand bucks. Glad for him. :sweat:
they should rename it the "waste time show". no wonder the sales are so lousy at such sales - 1. its not much cheaper than SLS 2. the crowds are there only for window shopping.
not necessary. at SLS they treat locals like crap
but at the show they address everyone as "sir" :dunno:

not sure about the commanders, but I like the medics and MOs there. spent most of the time with them.
Didn't go ... unless the price is crazily low like 50% or 40% of SLS price ... which is not possible
