My first shoot with my new Voigtlander APO 125/2.5. Takes some time to get used to the long barrel and the tougher focusing, but its a great lens.

Malayan Water Monitor Lizard: a youngster about 75cm, D70, Nikkor 80-200/2.8 with 1.4x, 1/1600 f3.6, ISO800, ambient light, handheld.
A few years back i got this cheap 1.4x teleconverter and on close inspection of this shot it shows that it seriously degrades the picture quality... should have gotten the Nikon teleconverter.

The dragonfly and weaver ant shots are noise.

Overall, I think the ISO is causing some noise in the pics less the ant pic. May want to apply some noise reduction (neatimage....its free) to remove them.

the ISO800 caused a lot of noise, i used LR colour and luminosity noise reduction combined with some sharpening... obviously its not enough. need to look into neatimage, thanks.

the ant should not be there... got the wrong shot... replaced now... i was more intrgued by the colours of the flower and leaves... so focus the colours and structure of the palm leaves....

tchuanye: neatimage is neat . replaced photos in question with ones that were corrected with neatimage
