So many lost sheep in SG.

I find it quite sensitive to post the photos that are taken on that day here although i am a christian and I was one of the official photographer taking photos.

Posting is ok, but dont mention anything about the content of the photos. Pls stop discussing here to prevent any further religious issue...and they are not lost sheep. They are praying for the lost sheep.

But of course, you still have the right to post as long as the admin dont remove the thread.:)

I second you on the wordings in bold.

I find that some clubsnappers are really insensitive to religion - plain rude sometimes.

Even if they were lost sheep or praying for lost sheep ...isn't it great that they come to know God.

No God = No understanding of the real meaning of the event

Regardless ... let God make the judgment and not us. After all some ppl are there to pray ..some are there just for a photo opp.

Don't think this is the right place to discuss about religious practice but to answer your question, raising of hands is a symbolic gesture of one trying to reach out to God and is commonly so in Christianity. Here's a quote in the Old Testament

1Kings 8:37-39*“If there is a famine in the land, or plagues, or crop disease, or attacks of locusts or caterpillars, or if your people’s enemies are in the land besieging their towns—whatever the trouble is—and if your people offer a prayer concerning their troubles or sorrow, raising their hands toward this Temple, then hear from heaven where you live, and forgive. Give your people whatever they deserve, for you alone know the human heart.

Note: the Temple here refers to the Temple in Jerusalem which was built in honour of God and for His Santuary and the Jews would come to offer their sacrifices and made their prayers during their time.

Is it written in the Holy Bible that Christians worship raising their hands??
