Where and How to take Good Pic for Sunrise and Sunset in Singapore?

Dear bro and sis out there.... Appreciate is you can advice:

a) Where can i take sunrise / sunset in Singapore (location)?
b) Suggest from what time to what time?
c) I'm using 30D + tripod +...what lens you suggest?... any advice on the setting to take nice and good pic?

agreed... recently juz tried taking "sunrise" from the heavy vehicles carpark below my house. :bsmilie:

Pretty sure Im the first few to shoot sunrise at that place. :sweat:

thats really nice! i like the colour and the silhoette of those different trees there.. i like the way that the trees silhoette are so soft (not so dark)..

I shot this from the red star position, using Tamron 90mm.
as you can see on the map, this place will not be there forever.
 

Mmmph I think I'll do a more detailed writeup soon.

A lot of places are good, it depends on what sort of shot you want. If you're ok with a urban sunrise then anywhere in Singapore will do; if not, the eastern beaches are good for sunrise on the whole, same for most of the central catchment area reservoirs, in short.

I shot this from the red star position, using Tamron 90mm.
as you can see on the map, this place will not be there forever.

The pungol area is really wonderful location, low vehicle and human traffic. There is also a very nice misty effect in the morning from the huge area of vegetation.

For a higher vantage point, consider going up to those LRT stations along the field.

sure, but need to bring along this to go up the LRT station.

For unopened stations, the stairways leading up to them can also be used.
