Yeah, wonder why no body bringing it in. In Malaysia it is brought in by Daimler Chrysler Malaysia. But I thought that I have ever seen a Singapore registered Smart. Not very sure, though...

Here is a list of where Smart cars are available world-wide.

Actually i'd rather they bring in those Suzuki ATVs or similar instead, then i will sure get my class 2b or 2a or 2... and buy 1 for my daily commuting... my dream vehicle...

Smart car is quite popular in Europe. There are a few variation of the Smart car. There is one that seats four persons. And a couple of sporty models, one which is a convertible.

i think i just saw this car recently worx but i just can't remember where now...

The car is ideal for Sg. It was made so that you could park head towards the curb on the street saving space. i.e. you can fit two cars into one car space.

They have been around for a while and back in the mid 90s was badged Swatch - it was a JV between Mercedes and Swatch. Swatch pulled out in the late 90s leaving Merc to change the name to Smart.

The car was built on the same concept as the A class - hence the similarities in design. They were highly unstable due to the tall roof and short wheelbase. Remember the original A class failed the famous Finnish moose test.

The body panels are made of plastic composite and quite scratch resistant. And you can mix and match different coloured body panels to customise your car. However, replacement panels are expensive.
