Apart from the beach volleyball action, there are many interesting activities going on too!

Come on! There are no excuses to stay away from Sentosa this May! Join in the action today.

Up for this event.

Coming this week.

does anyone knows the rules for photo shooting during this beach volley event?

Wonder which sitting area would be great to shoot great action shots? Gallery, east-west, or VIP seats? Any sportshooters suggestions? Thanks.

I was told can only shoot from the seat and no flash

Its free seating I guess...
I mean... at least at ur own seating sector.

If tats the case... early shooter gets the best seat!
;)

East-west gallery is the cheapest, but is it best for action shots or should I get the seats in Green Gallery .....??

I think the green gallery should be ok. What do you think?

Green gallery looks ok. Plan to attend the 24th ...... hope they will sell tickets on site cos I wanna to check out the seats and their distances and, of cos, where the sunlight will fall thru the day.

too bad i am working. if not i will join u. waiting to see yr pics.

It really depends on the kinda shot you wanna get... if you want smashing shots... you are probably better off sitting near the net (green area)... but if you want both teams in the pic and dun mind shooting through the net... then the yellow area is fine... (btw, the net can be a very confusing thing for your camera... learnt that shooting badminton) ... so i would think that green or paid VIP would be good... lower angle you can get nearer and also get their faces when they are getting ready for the serves... or when they dive... LOL....

Do post some shots of thursday! Cheers!

most probably I'll be there on Sat in the green zone. But I'm planning to go in the morning.

do u mind if i tag along? Got ur tics already? think that they start 9am on sat as well... (sorry i am blur) posted something silly previously..
maybe i start a list here for people going on sat?

1) londonray
2) Mutabor??

:dunno: :dunno: no one going?

Guys, I was there on the 23rd May to watch the selection games, and it was awesome!! Dont miss this international event.

I am not a volleyball person, but I feel the standard of the competitors are extremely high. There is great pressure on the Chinese Team to perform cos they are aiming for gold in the 2008 Olympics (a friendly spectator told me this ... is it true that this same team will compete at the Oly?). Watching the Japanese and French team fight tooth and nail for every point was superb.

If these are the teams that will compete at the 2008 games, and you cant go to China for the 2008 games, like me, you shouldnt miss this ...... its just at our doorstep (Sentosa)!

I was booking a ticked and I'm surprised on how hard the event organizers trying to make an extra $. For example a Gallery ticket price is 50$. ok you add it to the cart and proceed to checkout and what you see. 2$ more dollars are added as the booking fee. ok. but on top of that, when you select Model of Collection, the only mode listed is Venue Collection 1$. :thumbsd:
