The same as any other student from any normal school would get, which is not consistent depending on the school admin. The school should have some room to decide, instead of just following blindly what the public feels. It is after all, an institution with some individuality and if the school admin doesn't have the balls to stick to its own guns then they should be sacked.

There are so many courses of actions; counselling, etc. You have to remember that whatever the case, he may not be that young, but he is still young. If you had made a mistake when you were younger I'm sure you'd have wanted some leniency too. Even if you didn't care, your parents would.

There is no reason for any institution to simply bend to the will of the public. Do you think he is the only one doing such things? Perhaps he is the first to punch, but I'm pretty sure there have been near-violent acts as well, brandishing of the middle finger is so commonplace nowadays that when I see it on the streets I don't even find it out of place already.

You can say, no, they did not use any force.. But isn't that akin to 五十步笑一百步? (Wonder if that's the correct phrase, my Chinese isn't that good)

TS,

Start a poll without a poll? You ask me how to poll, my dear friend??? :sticktong

Chop off whichever hand that punches the uncle and pay for the uncle 's medical bill

Put him in actor's school...
Punch people already, then so fast pretend to cry....

He suddenly felt immense guilt about hurting the poor uncle and how he would have suffered, the loss of income due to his injury. So the poor boy broke down, devastated and cried.

Wonder if he would have felt guilt if he managed to escape the bus?
Let's face it... it's acting... not guilt...

Huh.

If it's your son, would you be singing a different tune? :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

He is not escaping lah...he is trying to run away to a deserted lake side and cry and think about his life.

Honestly, I think I might be doing what the boy's father will do.
Then again, if every kid gets away coz his father / mother plead for him / her then our society will go to the dumps.

I feel sorry for the parents...

Every parents would feel proud to have their kids studying at one of Singapore's top institution. Now that kid has disappoint and deeply hurt and shamed his parents. The poor father must be wondering what has he done to have that kind of son.....

this elite may be our future leader. Should not we forgive and show what humanity is by showing kindness and concern so that he will see the folly of his way to become a better person?

Well, that would only work if he does see the folly of his ways.

What if we just slap him on the wrist, and then he starts thinking he can get away for being a bully without any consequences?

After all, assuming the news article is accurate, isn't that what he was being - a bully?

It's ok! I won't punch you...but I will ask our very own World-Class Hwa Chong kid to punch you, okie?

 wah lao eh. Maybe CS shld get him as the Discipline master. All infractions will be handled by him. :sweatsm:

HC got boxing club or not? What if this boy was the HC boxing club president? ;p

Well , why don't we see it another way;

He wrote: 'The bus driver detained us and didn't allow us to proceed. He asked her to produce the card and took it without explanation.

'We were stunned. I asked for it back, while my friend produced her current card, with her particulars, to prove that the void card was hers. He ignored her.

If the student's above account is accurate, then the BUS DRIVER is the bully.

Machiam policeman, take things already don't need to explain? Skally the little boy thought that the bus driver see his mei mei cute, like the photo and want to keep. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
