Time to have those NParks Rangers patrolling around and fining those litterbugs. Otherwise, those sort of ppl will never learn, and we're not going to be always picking up their rubbish. They might even inadvertently kill birds and fishes that might mistake plastic wrappings as food.

On the side note, your rendition of the discarded bread wrappings is crispy sharp and their colours really pop out!

must be those people take the bread and feed the fishes... and dump the plastic bags there :thumbsd:

yups  what a great way to enjoy nature.

I cringe everytime when I read in the newspapers about foreign "ang moh" visitors gushing about how clean our little red dot is.

Singapore has become very dirty.

I see evidence every day in pasir ris where i live and it is not going to stop until the govt brings in the CWO again and the litterers are shamed in public.

CWO wasn't scrapped was it? just last year or so I just saw some CWO cleaning my area.

Singapore is not clean because our people are civic minded.

Singapore is clean because we've got an army of cleaners picking up after us.

It's a habit that starts with the kids - they don't pick up after themselves anymore.

I couldn't agree more bro. It's rather disgusting to see such a behaviour.

wah lao...

Left hand hold a bag, Right hand take a bread
Right hand make a save, Left hand kills them all...
No... Right hand is also spoiling the nature...

Feeding the animals actually spoils them. They will become dependent on humans for food sources instead looking for food by themselves. This will affect the natural eco-system and the food chain.

this statement is brilliant. now i know the perfect thing to say whenever a foreigner comments on the cleanliness of our country.

Actually even if the kids are the culprits, sometimes parents have a role to play too. Seen on quite a number of occasions, kids throwing their rubbish on the ground in public, and the parents didn't say anything or even bother to correct them or at least throw the rubbish away.

Yup, its the parents responsibility to educate their kids. Wondering if those parents allow their kids to litter in their own house??:bsmilie:

Most parents think "oh, they're just kids, they'll learn". That's silly. It's when they're children that they need to learn!!

I walk around SG a lot. Whenever I'm near a school, the garbage and litter level shoots up dramatically.

Where's the enforcement of litter laws????

I fully agree... some kids are simply spoilt... when the kids start to go to school... they blame the school for not teaching the kids properly... when to kids grow up and get into trouble... they blame the society...
