Had to take these snapshots fast because everyone was eyeing at me...
"Can you put the camera away and let's eat??!!"

Some wild vege. Loads of fibre.

Some pork dish.

And my important cuppa at a cafe afterwards.

nicely taken.

Good shots, but some of the pics had very shallow DOF.
I would like to see more of the food in focus. :)

I see. Thanks for the sharing of your thoughts. I will keep this in mind the next time I shoot. Thanks for the comments.

yeah, the DOF is too narrow. you prob want the entire dish to be in focus. however, you you want to just concentrat on a part of the dish, it's fine, but it has to stand out. the closest one I can see is the first one. If you have the vege all in focus and throw the back of the plate out of focus, could be a very interesting picture.

However, food photography, the key is to create a mouth watering image. I don't have that feeling with the exception of the cup of jo.

Point taken, thank you. But these shots are not a series of food photography per se, as they are snapshots of interesting food that I have never come across. And I had to shoot fast because there were a lot of hungry people around me waiting to dig in... I had like... 30 seconds? ha ha ha... I just wanted to share these images (they are more macro snapshots than serious food photography).

Yeah, the cuppa is a cuppa of joy. Yummy!

Nice one, besides the DOF mentioned by others i think the composition for the first few could also be better. I didn't really catch what kind of food it was, haha. Nonetheless it still made me hungry! Just my 2 cents. ;)

I also don't know what food these are!! ha ha ha... they are some obscure Yun Nan food... ordered by the locals. Thanks... making me hungry again...

Fortunately, the serving is small... LOL.

Eh pic #4 reminds me ah... kopi tomorrow hor...

But can't pull an all-nighter this time round, I've got IPPT the following day.
