You can do it from photoshop. In case you dont have photoshop, go to paint program (start->programs->accesories->paint in Wind XP), open ur picture, go to image->stretch, apply the desired value to Horizontal and Vertical ( 10 or 20 % ). Don't forget to specify save as.. and rename your picture as MyPicSmall.jpg.

use whatever image programme you familiar with.. (photoshop, gimp, paint....etc)

change your image size to 600 pixel at the long size.

apply sharpen after resize

save your image in jpg using "save as" (always keep your original untouch) at a highest compression level without deteriorate the quality of your image,

it is good to keep it around 100kb for fast loading.

try this link. the image viewer can do the downsize but only a single file. the photo resizer can do batch resize.

i feel that this is more convenience than AcdSee. sumore, it is free.

you could try..

1, Open your pic in paint.
2, File -> Save As
3, add an extra .jpeg at the back of your file name.. eg IMG_1234 to IMG_1234.jpeg
4, select JPEG from the bottom dropdown list.
5, SAVE! :bsmilie:

And save the above steps as a batch job!

Read message number 5.

This software is free.

When installed you may be surprised. There is just a read me file which does not tell you much.

The software has been integrated into your XP.

When you use any Wdw Explorer view, you can open any folder, go to any file, right click, then there is a menu. Scroll down to
[ Resize Pictures ]

Click on it and you will see the choices of various sizes to resize to.

If you type [ Control A ] when you open the folder, it will select all files. Then right click, do the same above. All files in folder will be resized. Very fast. Simple.

I like this type of -- do one thing , keep it simple, and do it very well type of software.

Presently using ACDSee. I like it.

I hate complicated software that wants to take over your PC and push out other competing software by redoing all the file associations without asking you first, upon installation.

It took me ages to work this out too.

My best advice is to put ur image on a site like Flickr or Photobucket. When viewing your picture on this site, right-click>properties>'copy ULR location' of the image.

Return to Clubsnap, click on the yellow landscape icon above and paste your link!

Good luck
