The Swarovski Digiscoping Competition 2007

Want an opportunity to showcase your photos to an international audience? Impress the jury at the great Swarovski Digiscoping Competition 2007 and you could well be on your way to being featured in the Swarovski Optik Digiscoping 2008 Yearbook!

Open for submission from now until 20 September 2007, the top three winners of this competition will each win a place at the Digiscoping seminar in South Africa, while winners in the 4th to 20th place will each receive an “Extrematura” backpack from the Swarovski Optik range of accessories. In addition, the best 20 pictures will be published in the Swarovski Optik Digiscoping 2008 Yearbook!

3. Equipment

Cameras:
Any digital camera format - from a compact digital camera to a bridge or digital single lens reflex camera - may be used.

Field Spotting Scopes:
Any commercially available spotting scopes and eyepieces may be used, with or without an adapter.


4. Images:

Digiscoping images are pictures that are created using a digital camera in association with a field spotting scope.
 

dun even have the $$$ to buy a scope, dun know how to enter the competition at all. :cry:
 

yeah... what a lame competition. looks like ordinary folks like us will not be able to participate. most of us won't have the reason or a need to own a field scope.

Pray tell why you think this competition is lame? You calling it lame just becoz you dun have a scope? Have you ever tried digiscoping before? I have seen some top digiscopers works before, and they are stunning. It takes a LOT of skill and technique to get good pictures out of such a setup. I have nothing but loads of RESPECT for these people.

u live in your own world dude.

Very often, digiscoping is the only way to capture the wildlife images, especially birds from a comfortable distance while minimizing disturbance to habitat.
