"Photography Edge! is a creative showcase of works by the Professional Photographers Association (Singapore)/ PPAS which comprise many of the crème the la crème of photographers who have defined the photography scene in Singapore for the past two decades.
How has design influenced their photographic eye? And how has their photographic style imprinted itself on design? Like an Escher drawing, where photography and design begins or ends in any image can be a mystery.
The exhibition documents the importance of photography as a medium in design, and reveals the creative processes of design through the use of photography. A highlight of the exhibition is a display of images taken by professional photographers in Singapore that were selected for DesignSingapores presentation at the Milan Fair 2006, which was curated by famous Japanese designer, Toshiyuki Kita. Another show-stopping feature is a brand new collection of photo installations 'designed' by PPAS."
