Lens servicing

Hi... anybody sent their lens for servicing b4? i just sent mine yesterday to NSC. I was charge wit $80 for the cleaning of the lens, felt a bit frustated coz the warrenty is still on. Anybody experiance this?

Before they (CASE) "help" you, you have to become their member...which is mean you have to pay before they so call help you.

I always though servicing of lens is FOC as long as warranty is still valid....

Warranty is meant for covering manufacturing defects/faults only.
So servicing would be chargeable.

If cleaning is required as a result of a defect, it'll be free.
I have sent in my lenses for general maintainence and cleaning during their warranty period, and the final bill came to $0. :think:
