this is ridiculous. i asked a legitimate question.

also, to the moderator that referred me to the TOS, i have read the TOS. very carefully.

i would be grateful if you could point me to the exact clause in the TOS that i violated by asking a simple question? i have not violated any of the express requirements of the TOS.

the only thing that comes VAGUELY close is the following

While we cannot monitor all the postings in the chat rooms, forums, photo galleries and other public areas, we reserve the right (but assume no obligation) to delete, move, or edit any postings that come to our attention that we consider unacceptable or inappropriate, of for any other other reasons, which we need not disclose, and which need not be reasonable. We will comply with the requirements of the law regarding disclosure of information transmitted via our site to others, including law enforcement agencies.

However, in order for you to act to move, edit or delete my thread, you will need to establish that what i said was "unacceptable" or "inappropriate". in any event, you dont include thread closing as part of your rights under the TOS.

if you want to run this board like a police state, then please include something to that effect in the TOS. that way at least no one has a right to complain if you act in such a manner.

as far as i can see, i have not violated any requirements of the TOS and as such you have acted in a manner that is wholly oppressive and unreasonable in the circumstances.

what the.... this is going to be a record thread closed day..

Kopitiam Informal, irreverent coffeeshop chat (with limits, of course).

Maybe to them, your thread is off limits! :embrass:

Anyway, it quite common here!

Wondering how unacceptable and inappropriate are the 2 threads?

Both asked legitimate questions, and were getting intelligent responses.

There were no flames, no slams other than friendly bantering. I really thought it was in fact one of the better discussion on CS.

Nonetheless, opening threads when the Mods are closing them is utter juvenile behaviour.

Please remember that Clubsnap is a community. Like it or not, the Mods are the people placed in charge of the community and they have their reasons for making rules. I think to be fair, this time, if you don't like it, YOU CAN LEAVE! =D

hee hee, me got lame reason. maybe they savaing on bandwidth.

Please refer to this posting.

I am really tired of having to explain myself over and over again.

You may also wish to refer to this post for clarity.
You may also refer to my post in the thread.

I have stated very very clearly on DP's post on why the thread was closed. Your thread simply perpetuates a cycle that has no end, and hence my closure.

This is for the very same reason I will close this thread too.

All we ask is that we keep this forum a place for one and all, newbies, pros and everyone else in between to come in, share their works, learn from each other and/or trade. Anything else is really secondary. Please understand that the existence of this sub-forum is a privilege and not anyone's right bestowed upon them by some divine deity.

Thank you.

Many have left and some of them have left voids that we have yet to replace.

Ofcourse, the administration runs this forum, and the moderators carries out their policy and directive. However, are we to follow blindly anything and everything the moderators say?

Wolfgang, we are just seeking a dialog among the memberships and adminsistration. Why is that a problem?

This is of course a topic that had been dissussed many times. It reappears becasue things are changing, and under these circumstances, it is good for all to re-examine where we stand, what we do, and how we do things.

Is this something to be afraid of?

Nope. Absolutely not. There honestly isn't anything that we need to be afraid of.

Since you are seeking a dialogue with the admins...

I have since pointed out this thread and the other threads to them for their reference. However, this thread remains locked to prevent any further OT or banal postings.
