it did rained.. but seems like it did not cool much.

the nites were warm... uncomfortable to sleep.

its hot these few days.

two day raining for the metro bmx jam did cool the weather a bit. :bsmilie:

I feel the weather it's warmer, even with lots of rains lately

Climatologically, April is a relatively hot month with maximum temperature going occasionally into the range of 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.

Quite hot indeed - I feel it particularly after having spent the whole winter in Hong Kong...

"An Inconvenient Truth" says it all... warmer climate is here to stay... and the human race brought it all upon ourselves...

The cooler you want with your air-con, the warmer the environment will be.

33 to 35 !?

Very warm and humid. ARGH

Anyone got watched "The Great Global Warming Swindle"?

It debates the issue of Global Warming and says that Global Warming is actually not created by human activities but by the Sun. CO2 exhausted from human activities is nothing compared to a vocano eruption and the Oceans are so vast and huge that they can absorb the exhaust to balance. It says that Solar activity makes the Oceans warmer which creats Global Warming. Since the Oceans are warmer, they cannot hold that much CO2 so they realease it to the atmosphere. That's why the reading of CO2 in the atmosphere is that high

I actually believed in "An Inconvenient Truth" theory, but after seeing the documentary movie mentioned above, I dont know which side to believe :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Not only it's more humid and stinging hot but it's almost raining daily. I can still remember we had a dry spell 2 years back, around this time of the year. But 2006 and 2007 is like a very wet year. I notice the trees react wildly to this conditions. They usually shed their leaves when a wet season comes, growing new leaves and sprouting buds in anticipation for the next dry season. But due to the wet/dry spells since January some remains botak becoz they kept shedding the newly grown leaves.

Anyway having those documentaries and reports do make us feel it won't be the same like it used to be.

C02 emission from mankind is only partly the possible problem but deforestation, IMHO, is the major impact to climate change. Remember during science class, trees taking in C02 to photosynthesise and expire oxygen. Now there alot less of them as compare 20 years ago.

For some Singaporeans, before the haze problem happened, we thought such things as fresh air is always there in abundant. But now we realized that the wind carries this fresh air from the rainforest of Borneo from the east, Sumatra from the South/West and Malaysia from the North.

If, ever, all this forest is chop away, in the name of development, I think our air will not be the same. Furthermore trees are our natural air-con. I used to live in a kampong where now stands the food market opp Ginza Plaza.

There used to be kilometres of mangrove forest where now the west coast highway is. It's usually chilly in the night. Imagine something like sungei buloh wetland reserve in the backyard. Encountering mudskippers and monkeys was a common daily affair back then.

Compare that to our concrete homes which absorb heat during the day and radiates it out at night. Anyway hope, 20-30 years down, I still can go and ski in the alps or dive into the great barrier reef or trek in the jungles of the amazon with my digicam in tow, of course.

If not, where to spend my retirement ?
