Hi Bros/Sis, thinking of getting the Tokina 12-24 f/4 ... was told a grey set going for $710.00. Is lens easily damaged in anyway with normal usage? So, help me ... to grey or not? :dunno:

Thanks ya. :)

tokina lens not so easily damaged

but there is always a risk
so far from my experience, it isn't a problem

Thanks Bro yyD70s and Ortega ... just weighing my options. :)

what about canon, tamron and sigma?

what about canon, tamron and sigma?

Hi Bro, I'm using Nikon so Canon Lens are out. I've done up some reading and weigh many users of various brands WA lens and decided to plomp my $$ on the Tokina ... anyway, my questions is 'To Grey Or Not?' is to find out whether it 'safe' or worthwhile saving the $100 or so dollars. :)

Bro,

if it's me, that extra $110 can buy 3 yrs of peace, why not? If it is 1 yr, then maybe not, as a Human Being's accident insurance for 1 yr is also around there, no point paying $100+ to buy "insurance" for a lens. But 3 yrs, WHY NOT?? ;p

Sometimes when your "luck" is near, you never know... :bsmilie: Others use 3 yrs no problems, maybe you use 3 months only, disaster...

anyway, my questions is 'To Grey Or Not?' is to find out whether it 'safe' or worthwhile saving the $100 or so dollars. :)
