hi all, can anyone tell me which LCD color calibration device (eg Spyder) gives the best value for money? i'm looking for one that's cheap and good. thanks in advance for any advice

spyder is reasonable for its price... but if you want best-bang-for-the-buck, if you don't plan on using it alot, it might be good to just rent one...especially for LCD screens which don't need to be calibrated a lot...:)

Alternatively, you can get the Gretag Macbeth OEM version of 'huey' from Eastgear. I think it cost under $100. Give them a call to ask. It's better than nothing.

forget the GM one.
i was using that previously.
it just couldnt work on my 27inch monitor.(dunno why)

i got the spyder pro from cp.color looks ok(imho).
i think someone mentioned it's overpriced.
initially wanted the GM color one or two or dunno what but sgp agent no stock.have to order and wait 4-5weeks.

has anybody used the calibration hardware Huey or HueyPro before? is it good?

It's painful to type it all out again... so please do a search...

but to cut it short, DON'T get the huey.
