what is the best lens to do walkabout candid shots?

wondering what kind of lens is best to capture candid shots?

currently i own 18-55mm kit lens and 55mm-200mm lens but sometimes wana to have a shallower dof but can't achieve...

please advise

to add variety as a 2nd lens, ultra wide angle.

My current walk about lens is the Vivitar Series 1 28-70mm f2.8 and Tamron 24-135mm.

eh, if you have to ask i think you probably don need it...
17-55 cost about 2k depending on canon or nikon

alternative will be 3rd party... tamron 17-50 is about $600+... not very cheap as well :bsmilie:

no.. not constant f2.8... f2.8-4.5 by sigma.

the 3rd party lens are made for different mounts, usually for canon and nikon, and maybe for others too occasionally.

just like the same electronic can have different power cables for uk/sg or us/jp.
