How to repair camera damaged by water?

My old Sony PnS has been damaged by water entering it. As it is quite an old camera, I don't find it worth it to pay $100+ to get it fixed. So i'm wondering if there are any homefix solutions to this? I have tested the camera, everything works except that the screen appears black (when turned on) and when you take a photo, you get a black photo. I suspect the sensor might be damaged. Wonder if I can use any cleaning oil to clean it and where can I get this?
Anyone successfully fixed a camera or any electronic device damaged by water before? Can share what you did? Thanks!

since u mentioned it's old why don't just chuck it into the bin and buy a new one and be more careful next time?

i once had a pns cam that was water damaged.. brought it to service centre n i was told that its beyond repair.. so getting a new one would be the best solution.

u should have dunk the camera in distilled water, and then use a heater to slow dry it so that all traces of water dries up. Before turning on the camera.

the sensor is probably damaged.

u could tried to keep it in a drybox for a while
who knows, maybe u get lucky and the cam works.
