CF card can not copy into the computer

ok.. Now My CF card can not copy into the computer. I have try about 3 computers and some card readers and they said that have to format it or can not been read.

But On my Canon 20D cam can see all the photos in there.

And I have connect cam to the PC still can not work.

Is the CF compatible to the card readers?

Once, had a card reader that cannot read my SD but can view it in the camera, thought the SD was spoilt. It turn out that the card reader was the old type and after replacing it, everything was ok.

Is the photos inside the CF very important? If not, you can try to format it and attempt to recover the files using a recovery program later. You might just be able to recover something after that, but this is not 100% fullproof.

try a different car reader. BTW what brand of CF card are you using?

Is your CF cards bigger than 4G? that could be limitation of the card reader.

If you want to keep the photos, as long as your camera can read it, connect your camera to your computer via USB cable, retrieve the photos first. then do the investigation later.
