Engineers making $0.62 million!!!

Did anyone see the salary scale of engineers in the front page of "TODAY" (free newspaper)?
States that wages of ministers and civil servants are to go up.. but the shocking thing is that median wage for engineers is placed at $0.62 million as compared to a tyical minister at $1.20 million.

I reckon this should be annual salary and not based on entire lifetime.
Darn, I am way underpaid going by this statistics.

hee hee, increasing the president's pay was the beginning. and very very funny, they purposely take the top 8 earners, wonder how the figures will compare if they take the median of the whole profession.

Offshore engineering pay is all the while good... but it does comes wit sacrifice... eg. the danger u faced and the long hours of working and coming home only once a few months kinda things...

its certainly not a median salary in the construction industry... at least in our company we can higher a whole department with close to a dozen engineers and managers for this amount.....

i have engineer friends.they definitely earn higher than 5k.but still dont hit the 5 figure monthly.
