I guess many of you must have already heard of Singtel's latest bid to compete with Starhub's bundling programme, by its introduction of Mio. It is indeed an interesting cost saving prospect, although I'm wondering how good is its wireless coverage. I'm currently using D-link wireless G modem for my house. Does anybody have more information on Mio's wireless modem properties?

What kind of properties u looking for.

The mio box is a wireless router with all basic functions. Brand "2Wire" .... Mio Box (Made in China)

:

The phone line is a digital signal, a simple loop back connection from the Mio box will enable u to use all ur existing phone wall socket.

Just installed 2 weeks ago. Singtel was surpisingly disappointing and made a couple of
screw-up for just a simple installation. Hello shop called to inform phone number that was inititally assigned to me was already taken up due to "technical gliches" in the database system, ask me go down hello shop choose new number. Few days later they called and changed again even though the new number reservation form was printed out.

Installer who supposed to turn up never turned up and blame weather. Raining.

Signed up their plan before chinese new year, 2 weeks ago then complete job ...

Give up...

Added note: Their technical service hotline takes 1 hr + to connect u to a technical support officer. Pray u got no qtns or technical issues for them to address.

That sounds like good advice. Actually, the plan was already out for near 2 months right? Nevertheless, I'm sure there're teething problems to sort out.

I've been using it for almost 2 months, have to agree that their customer service isn't world class, but for that matter, neither are the rest.

What I have say is that when I had a problem with my line (the wires at the local exchanges got burnt in two locations) they fixed it quite quickly, after some threats from me. In the process of fixing that, they took the trouble to test my line and discovered that there had been a problem with one of my extension lines that prevented me from getting the maximum throughput from my Internet connection.

After fixing that, my MIO's been working like magic... Crystal clear phone lines, very fast and reliable Internet connections, 11.5 - 13Mbits, that have not disconnected and best of all, my $200+ combine Internet+Mobile+Land Line bill is now $98. Those are definitely good enough reasons for me.

Want good customer service? Move to another country. :bsmilie:

My friend has nothing but complains. He installed MIO last month and it had nothing but problems. I dont have the details but he's definitely not happy with it.
