Just wana ask which bag should i be looking at if my requirements are as follow:

- fit 14" laptop
- one dslr (entry level)
- flash
- 3 lens (no long zoom lens)
- some other small accessories but won't be lot
- not too bulky (i saw some models but they are really bulky and big even without the laptop in. I intend to use it primarily as a camera bag but the space for laptop would be good when i do occasional travelling)...i dun mind sacrifying the thickness of sponge in the bag to compensate the size....

thanks in advance

Plastic bag ("sacrifying the thickness of sponge in the bag to compensate the size")! :bsmilie:

Naaa....just kidding. I would recommend you to bring your gear down to T.K. Foto and try out a bag that you like and suits you and your gear. Just take note of and give some allowances for expansion of your gear in the future. ;)

Hey, thought this simple question not worth starting a new thread for.

TK Foto sells Lowepro bags too? Prices as compared to other shops like CP?

Thinking of getting a Slingshot.

@Threadstarter: Sorry hor, just hitch on for a little bit only. :bsmilie: :bsmilie: Hope you don't mind.

You can check out the webby and narrow down what suits your taste. I'm not sure if the Stealth Reporter D300 has a laptop compartment, but my D650 has. If it does, I'm sure the D300 can accomodate your gear. I can pack more that your list in my older 300AW (Excluding the laptop as the 300 AW doesn't have a laptop compartment). :)

looks like it....but is this available in sin?? i tried the 7 Mil dollar home, can only fit 12" laptop....

I got this from one of the other bag threads here in CS while i was surfing..not sure how much it costs but it is quite pricey...

Lowepro CompuDaypack

I am carrying a 14.1" laptop and 1 Fuji S9500 Prosumer and 1 Nikon D70 with kit lens and grip. Still got place to dump some batterys. =)

That's great.

I bought this bag because I thought I would be carrying my laptop during my travels. Do note that when you load this bag with all your gear and a laptop, it will become quite heavy and strain your back. Add on the weight of a tripod and its

Most of the times, when I wanted to shoot locally, this bag became too big and cumbersome - just to carry a camera and two lenses, so sold it.

i agreed with your statement and fully aware of it when decided to buy....this will not be my frequent use camera bag but mainly for travelling.....i will hunt for a smaller bag for local use...

Anyone wants to tell me the advantage/disadvantage of Domke bags? I currently own a Lowepro Stealth Reporter 200, but find it a bit heavy with my lenses...

Its dificult to find a perfect bag. Either the bag is too big or too small. So I buy 2 bags, one big and one small. And now I got the BBB virus and trying to find a reason to buy another suitable bag for another shooting condition.

advise to TS: do not buy a bag just for current condition. you would have to think of the future expansion... i brought the wrong bag and now, if i were to sell it off, my losses are high:confused: ... BBB virus would come one day...

i think every bag can serve its occassions....so, u dun really need to sell but keep it for that occasional use....

if think of future, the line will never end, how far ahead?
