AMK Hub/Central : What's the buzz?

Went AMK central yesterday for dinner and was shocked to find a super crowd there. Anyone knows what was the buzz about? The AMK Hub and central was fully packed with people! :sweat: :sticktong

Why are you shocked? Every new shopping center first few weeks always super crowded until the crowd eventually gets bored of the place and the crowd finally dies down.

Oh you mean they were recently officially opened? I am shocked because I was there last weekend and some shops were already opened. Yesterday evening was mad, tons of people inside and even AMK central was flooded with people. I'm just curious, because I stay nearby and if that's gonna happen every Sunday evening ... I'll avoid that place :bsmilie:

This place is not just newly opened. The basement levels, which includes NTUC Supermart, were opened last year. The upper levels and the bus interchange are not opened yet. Have been there a few times and it wasn't packed at all. Maybe, the huge crowd last weekend could be due to some big names opening shop at the upper level.

True lor, I have been going there for makan and shopping but never seen such a BIG crowd :sweat:

Never stepped into the upper levels when I was there. Maybe, by now, more shops, including food court, if there is one, should be opened by now.

Yeah, I bought a 6-pack of Anchor Beer for only slightly less than S$10 when it was on offer. Should have bought a carton.

Reminds me of this customer I met....

While working the other day, as customer came in to this NTUC run store which I work in. He asked me if the NTUC biggies came. I said yes.

He said, good, let me complaint, their stuff are expensive.

So I said to him, pointing to the area manager(who was a big sized, fat guy ) 'If you want to complaint, go to him'

The customer then said 'Oh... I understand.... I understand' and left.
