Grey or no grey?

If the price of a cam diff by $450, will you go for Grey set or Original warranty? Just wondering about you guys thought

Previously my 420EX was also bought grey. Didn't failed on me once when it was used for over a year.

I'll go for grey if the difference is huge. $450 is huge!

And, my experience, I never use the warranty (touch wood!), so grey is ok for me.

That time market price is 1500 but i bought it at 1020!!

Didn't fail me until recently the problem

Grey is no good but low price is :thumbsup: For flash, it is ok to go for grey... but lens.. no warranty is a bit :sweat: What if it is not a sharp copy and you spent $1-2k on it :dunno: But $450 is alot of saving I will go for it

Some questions before I get my hands on a new DSLR....

a) What is the difference between the warranty of a grey and non-grey?

b) How would you know that its a GREY set?
What do you look out for that gives it a GREY status?

c) Who sells GREY sets? Only some retailers?

d) Does Nikon SC repair/service GREY sets? If not, who does?

e) What happens to a GREY set when it has problems?
