Comments greatly appreciated.

Works well for me. Kept me looking at it for quite a while. The lighter colored window grills etc made me look all over and started to have a 3D feel :p

ah great glooming depression ... effective if that was your intention. technically indeed v flat but the flatness is part of the composition, so thats ok.

the thing not going for it is the uneven vignetting and more importantly, in my view, some solitary point of interest to hold the entire pic together.

For example a big bowl of plain rice is not very interesting, but if there is a just a single rose petal scatter on the rice, it gives it the tension needed for an exciting picture.

Here maybe some selective colourisation, some small but very bright light, or a single solitary person etc ... So thats the little thing I think missing ...

My personal interpretation is to do with compartmentalisation - the syndrome that happens to all of us in today's urban world.

I kind of like it, actually. =D Is pretty gloomy, but as someone has mentioned, it's all gloom, nothing pretty attention-grabbing.

It works very well for me, the gloom was a good one, because i cant see any urban things with color in this building, very nice details, very nice composition, bro what camera are you using and what settings?

Gives me the feeling of being overcrowded and conveys the "bane" well. It's depressive. Can try adding more contrast to compare the mood? I suspect it will look more "shocking".

Is this building somewhere near Outram MRT? The building looks straight, which is not easy to capture unless you have a high view-point. And where you shooting from?
Anyway, I kinda like this pic. I think you should change this title instead.
For my case when shooting buildings, I like to show light & shadow to it. This will make it more 3D in a sence. Do include people in it too (if there is).
Do try more different mood to it. Even can shoot if there's light rain, evening or night scene to this building too.
Hope you have fun experimenting. Cheers dude.:)

man. this place brings back alot of memories for me. Pearl bank building. Sigh....

What would have been excellent is if, right in the middle, there's one brightly illuminated window with a silhouette of a person.

then how u know its silouette or a piece of sensor dust?

My eyes are sharp. Considering the size of the windows in the central section of the pic, a human shape would be very easy to recognize.
