Yes.. its goness...

It refuses to close on me after I on it. then at the "shooting mode" it doesnt shoot, it says "pls turn off, then on again" but when I off the camera, the lens part doesnt "go back in".

Anyone gt any similar experience?? What can I do now?

If Repair right... I heard from my cousin its gonna be expersive cos mine's over warranty...:bheart:

From my experience of dropping Canon A540, though mine wasn't a hard drop..

What I did was try to fit everything back together - the casing split open a little. =D It was doing what you mention above initially; maybe you could keep trying and give the lens retraction a little aid. Not too much force though, I guess. After I did that it worked fine already.

Nothing much you can do if some parts were severely damaged, I guess.

fx7??? me also hav fx8.... i believe it is similar... if u really want to open, there is a screw at the side...... better not try if u gonna send it to pana

Don't turn or pull the lens,

try to gently push it into the body while switching off (don't use force).

If it doesn't work then sending it back is the best solution, as I think the zoom motor gears might have misaligned.

guess thats the end of my lumix. died-ed on my slippery naughty no good hands hahaha

Hope the guys at panasonic repair dont charge me too high

Well, there are good deals in the marketplace section on Sony H, Canon S and other Panasonic cams. :)

If its too expensive to repair then just sell it off for parts on ebay or elsewhere.

Just wanted to ask, did the camera fall on its lens 1st or body 1st?
