read from leica FAQ, "For those who want a less-obvious, "stealthy" vest, the SCOTTeVEST™ may be worth a look. Although primarily designed for people with lots of mobile devices (cd players, pda's etc.), it has lots and lots of pockets and sleeves which unzip. It also doesn't look anything like a standard beige camera vest - a definite plus. I question its usefulness in warmer climates, especially in 6-month-summer Australia, although they claim they also make a light-weight "hot weather" version. YMMV."

and saw their classic vest, looking like this

i wonder if anyone have used this and know where it is for retail in Singapore.

I've never used or seen this vest, but from the pictures it looks like the usefullness of this type of vest depends on the gear you use. For smaller cameras, like the Leica rangefinders, this vest might be perfect because rangefinder lenses & accessories are smaller. But I'm not so sure if the vest will be as useful for SLR/DSLR users with large zoom lenses. The pockets on SCOTTEVEST Classic Vest do not look as roomy as those found on Domke vests.

Bro, did you see the price tag ? 185 pounds !!!! :Faint: (Is there a smilie for Faint ?)

ok lah. 157.45 excluding VAT. This is one third the cost of a new Canon 400D. Half the cost of a 70-200 f/4 lens.

Something cheaper ? Like S$75 to S$100 (even that is expensive ) for me ?

Next time I go to Shanghai, I will check out the Xiang Yang market. Maybe they got some imitations. Anyone interested ? :bsmilie:

Wah! At those kind of prices, I'd rather wear those free/low cost vest that stick out like a sore thumb and save the difference a new lens or something.

this kind of things need to be able to try on locally. if not no point ordering online.
