Hey, do you have any nice romantic restaurant to recommend? Prefferably with a view to the sea or by the beach?

So many

Fisherman village / Raffles Marina / East cost / There is a restaurant beside Tahan Merah Safra Club that faces the sea (forgot name liao)

Plenty. How much you want to spend? Beaufort at Sentosa and Raffles Marina are just two examples.

Hope to spend something like 150. Actually have been to the ones at Raffles Marina, fisherman's village and some Italian restaurant along east coast. Want to go to somewhere that is not so well known... maybe an obscure gem?

Is the Beaufort at sentosa also known as The Clift?

Yes. It is romantic for your other half on a non crowded weekday esp. But prepare to pay more than $150 for that.

i went to check out the menu they have there, think it will cost about 250 and above. Have you tried the food? Is it nice? The pictures look very romantic already...

Okie, now must widen the search, anyone know of any places that are out of town, with very romantic interior and preferably near to nature?

Yes, if u drive .... changi have lots of other eatery facing the beach ... Portsdown road have one (not sure if close).

The Cliff at Beaufort (Sentosa). Food is good, ambience is good (no air-con though). Price is OK if you go for the set dinner ($100+ per person).

Can also try Il Lido opposite The Cliff. Everybody's taste is different, but I think food at The Cliff is better.

Another option is the restaurant on top of the Fullerton Hotel called San Marco. Again, getting the set dinner keeps the price reasonable. Good view of Esplanade.

There's also another one at the old boat house opposite the Fullerton called St. Julien. Food is OK, but the price tag is pretty big....be warned. View at window seat is good.

Anybody can think of any other places?

Around Changi End there are many clubs which open their restaurants to the public. Some of them are near the sea. I've been to Changi Salling Club and it's very much empty with only a few guest. It's an open/outdoor kind of setting ( not air-con ) and the food is quite good. If I remamber correctly, I spend about $100/- while I was there with my wife. Point to note is that you'll need to drive there as it's kind of "out of the way" or you can take a cab there and call for a cab when you're leaving. I woun't recomand a "romentic walk" out to Changi Vallage, too dark/deserted and a little far.

Hope this helps.

PS: as it's open dinning, you may want to wear pants/jeans. There may be mozze around :bsmilie:

There is one at Dempsy Rd ( spelling ?? ), opp the Botanical Gardens. Can't remember the name, but if you go in by the road just opp the Botanic Gardens ( at the traffic junction ) it is about 50 meters away on your right. Same thing, open concept very near to nature. Anyone knows the name? Did a PR shoot there ( better check if they're booked for function first ) and saw the manu, prices are reasonable. I guess a dinner for 2 may cost around $100 to $120 ? Unless of course if you go for lobster, prime cut of beef, etc :bsmilie:

another one you may want to try is the one at Mt. Faber. very romentic but not sure of the price.

Try Halia inside the Botanical Garden. Very good food and damn romantic. Book an outside table.

Juz been to Il Lido last week.
Great view outside, so ask for al fresco sitting. Too bad dat day was cloudy, else will be nicer.
Food wise, some very nice (cod & lobster pasta) others I have tasted better ones elsewhere.
2 dinner set menus, $100 and $150.

Botanical Garden... I thought it is Al Jardin. Is there another restaurant Halia?

Malaysia... heard in JB there is one quite special place, its treehouse style not sure where is it.

A place I like is at One Fullerton, Pierside Kitchen. Food is great!
Best to go when got fireworks at Marina bay and you sit outdoors.

Another place for good food is Da Paolo, I ate at Club Streeet, but the one at Cluny Court and e other at Rochester Park has a nice nature theme.

Yes, there is Halia and Au Jardin.

Au Jardin has much better setting than Halia, though it is more pricy. You can have a seating reserved at air condition balcony facing the Botanical Garden - beautiful.

Au Jardin is definately the choice if not for the $150 budget.
