your focus is off, as in i dunno what is the main subject of this picture.

You need to isolate your distraction and bring out the subject.

kit lens mah....

to TS: a macro lens would have done a better job at isolating your subject of interest.. and i agree with previous comments that it colour temp a little too cool.

if a person shoot for soo kee then ppl say the pics suxs, the photographer come out say i use kit lens nia... how u feel?

same thing, if u post a shot, ppl look at the pics and comment, not cos its taken by whichever lens, but by how it is delivered.

the delivery in this case is self explanatory... but dun take offense... i speak the truth.

nah, i agree fully :)

er.. how to achieve the focus that i want?

u pass me the rings, i shoot for u?

per shot S$300.00 offer price. (u can go check market rate.)

anyway, i find that all clustered together, esp i find the ribbon going thru the ring abit 'tin teh'. still have alot... i think i can write about 2 page long... then i reckon someone going to complain... hehe...

its easier if i show u how to shoot.

..., lighting also need serious work on.

no thank you.. i cant accept your offer for shooting the rings.. however, i wont mind if u can write me a 2 page on how to shoot wedding bands. hehe..

try to explore more dynamic angles.
lighting is also flat.
more isolation of the subject will be nice.
seems a bit soft also.
try to use a lower iso and and tripod for still life.

keep shooting k! :)

If you dun mind, sharing this with you :)

Thanks for e tip. Should bring out the rings n blur e pillow right?

Thank you for sharing this photo. The photo is very sharp. Can Kit lens achieve this level of sharpness?

Used a 50mm 1.4 prime for the previous shot. Just make sure you got your steady hands on your cam and shoot.

Another shot to share when i tried opening up the aperture.

depends how you use it. anyway i dun own a kit lens. but if u stop it down, it will be sharper. but u have to use correct technique to isolate the background & emphasize your subject.

i suggest a tripod as well. and probably a few flashes to start with. else, photoshop is a good fren to know.

Just to add, this was taken without flash handheld together w an extension tube

your photo was taken as macro shot if u use an extension tube right? n the surrounding light must be ample to acheive correct exposure even without flash?

Yeap had to borrow from the groom abt 5 min before the procession, bring it out by the windows, then take the shot in 1 min! :bsmilie:
