if you are not in a hurry to use it. I think it will be better to wait for the DA16-50/2.8. DA16-45/4 should be worth the money. It depends on your needs of it. Personally, I will prefer to go for fast speed lense like the f/2.8 as I do more natural light photography.

i think sigma 17-70 (DX) or tamron 24-135 (full-frame)more suitable....
if u like a sharp F2.8 at cheap price, should go for sigma 18-50/2.8 DG MACRO

Called Sigma Marketing in Singapore and told me that the Pentax mount will only come in after CNY...:thumbsd:

Did you call TK? They may have one.
Yes, I called TK and CP, went to AP and MS Color (where I bought the K100D), none of them had it instock. Heard some QC issues w/ this lens, better buy it locally so I can exchange if it has any FF/BF problem.
But looks like I'll have to try my luck w/ online order :think:
Please don't do that... When I was hunting for this lend for my old Canon camera, I had to go through 3 lenses because 2 had focusing issues (backfocus) and one had soft images. Eventually got it after a 4th try...
Wow! That's 1 out of 4! Guess I'll have to buy back a DA16-45 for the trip.
I'm quite upset with Sigma's QC, still as horrible as ever. I wanted to import the Sigma 100-300mm but decided against it after recalling my experience with Sigma lenses...
What's the lowest price for the DA16-45 lens nowadays? I bought mine at CP quite a while ago for $505 only. But sold it off in waiting for the DA*16-50/2.8. Now I'm sure I won't get this fast zoom lens, thinking of getting the DA16-45 back ...
