Hi all, it will be played in Bangkok next Sunday ! i guess wrong timing and wrong place.. the "winds" are not so good  will prefer playing in Indo, Philp, KL...

Sunday 4 February 2007 Bangkok Rajamangala Stadium, Thailand

Just hope that nothing goes wrong and our players come back safely. Sigh.... this is one match, damn if you win, damn if you lose. But judging from the circumstances, winning might entail more problems...

safety of our soccer team should be the first ! not the cup...

in my view, singapore has already won the cup by winning msia ydae... winning msia is not just a mere win in terms of soccer...

in contrast, winning thailand doesnt mean as much as winning msia. Politically wise, winning thailand *might* cause more problems.......

nvm, i already award the cup to singapore liao. I m the organizer

I dont get it. :(

Yes the cup is not that impt. However in this case... sigh if we lose, the thai supporters might go berserk with frenzy at having triumphed against their "great" enemy. If we win they will also maybe go even more berserk.

Some more playing in Bangkok... if we win, the spectators might throw stones leh.
Or maybe they will accuse us of bugging their locker rooms, and listen in on their strategy.

Hey guys, as mentioned in my previous post, there IS a first leg so do support the lions at the national stadium this wednesday. Hopefully they'll have a comfortable lead going into the return leg at Bangkok.

I see. But it would be nice to win though. :D The atmosphere was great during the game last Saturday... would not miss this one.

The world have their eyes on this.

Let us win and we must win. And let the world see whose the gracious loser.

It makes absolutely zero sense to purposely lose to Thailand and tell our boys not to give 'em their 120% effort simply because of the current political situation.

No one is answering them to throw the match. We are just saying that the result either way may ignite a storm.

Skill wise I doubt we can beat thailand. But our lions better not be pussies and roll over and say we didnt give 100% becasue of the current political situation. I expect no less than 200% effort. In any sports you have to give it everything you got then at least you can walk away with your pride and respect from the opponent. Just bloody pick up the balls and shoot through the bloody goal posts. If the crowd is going to react badly for any reasons it will reflect badly on Thailand's image.

i guess i know who is the champ this time

i think the Thai team is not as strong as before so we do have a chance. who ever wins i hope the game stays a sporting game and nothing to do with politics

most of us down here are educated enough to know sports and politics are 2 different things, the question is do that side think the same as us also ?

if i am the organiser, i will standby emergency helicopters to ferry the players out field should a riot happens...
