It might not be IE7 that is doing that although I am not a big fan of the new IE7 as it still is buggy in some features.

But what you have experience is maybe partially IE7 in ability to handle the script that might be present in the webpage you are trying to right click to copy the picture or select other functions. Some web designers actually program in special codes that prevent you from being able to right click to copy the picture or even copy the entire text! This is a means for them to protect their photos from being copied. There are ways around it but to the less IT savvy, this simple coding is enough to prevent people from using the right click to access functions like copy or select.

If you want to confirm this, try using Firefox or IE6 on another PC to see if you can go into the same webpage and try to use your right click again. If you can't then that page has some protection code written into it to prevent you from copy stuff there.

You're not alone... use firefox

but FF and Safari cannot view jobsdb.com resume page

We apologize that "MyJobsDB member section" only supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or above on Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP at this moment because of incompatible behavior on other browsers and operating systems especially in supporting XML. We will continue to enhance our system in order to support other browsers and operating systems in the near future.
If you are currently using other browsers or operating systems and would like to try using the "MyJobsDB member section", please click the "Try With Other Browser" button below. Note that the section may not work properly on your browser or you may encounter unexpected error but there is no need to report errors of these types.

There are some bugs to the IE7 still although it was "supposedly" been rectified...well most of the bugs when it got launched. That is why I still have not touched it. Also, you might need to check out the setting for it, to make it more secure they disable quite a few settings and stuff so you might have to reactivate some of them in the option segment. That might help. The best defence...uninstall and use version 6 if you don't want any surprises. I suspect this version was developed more inline with Microsoft Vista.

Well unfortunately, certain coding language or scripting is microsoft based and works only with IE as it exist only in IE so in those instances, like it or not you have to revert back to IE in order to surf certain sites. I use Firefox most of the time but if I want to do internet banking with Citibank I need to use IE6 as the bank uses Virtual Machine protocol..etc. WIthout it, I can not log in. So like it or not you can't give up one over the other any day soon. heh

Hey I take it back!..Thanks for the heads up. I have not tried it the last 6 months or so and then it was with Firefox 1.5. I managed to get into my corporate account. Well that is another one less reason to use IE6 now :)
