My exzema is taking a turn for the worst so I'm looking for another skin specialist. Been seeing one at Changi General but is not really helping. Any recommendations for private skin specialists?

Hi there. I have the atopic eczema for years too, and had tried various 'specialists' and GPs and not one could provide me with a holistic solution. Here's what works for me after years of hits and misses:
1) Dermasone Cream (Betamethasone Valerate) for anti-inflammation during outbreaks (most polyclinics shd have it, must be prescribed of course)
2) DermaVeen Moisturising Lotion (Bluish white bottle, easily available at most Guardian Pharmacies), to be used after every time you wash the face.
3) Cetaphil liquid soap (for washing of face daily, available at most Guardian)
Try to recall what sparked off your recent outbreak. Did you have a change of working environment? Dusty environment is known to increase outbreaks. Or are you using a new brand of shampoo? This, according to one specialist, is a major source of concern, so I don't dare to try new shampoo.

Oh yes, before a real outbreak, you can usually detect with increase itch. Piriton can help to relieve this. Can be prescribed at GPs or by pharmacists.
You may want to try this one. An old man who has been practising for the past few decades. I find him very good and his clinic is quite packed most of the time and the fee is expensive.

Try the National Skin Center at Novena or check with one of the CS member, "Student", I recall he is a dermatologist.

your can try polyclinic (believe it not), and persude the GP to prescribe the "strongest" cream available (that's what the phamicist told me), i cant recall the medication name as it's many years back but it's something with 25%. I told that doctor to forget about those dermasone, aqueous cream which does nothing better then just greasing the skin (for years), "well in that case, .. you try this and if it doesnt gets better then no choice but to refer specialist" he replied. And the outcome is.. it works for me amazingly, took just a day for obvious result, and less then a week to heal completely without even a trace, that's unbelievable for a skin condition that persist for many many many years, so effective after one use that i dont have to keep the remaining tube, which later a friend of mine took it.
Just sharing an experience here, you might like to find out the name of the cream, but again it might not be suitable for everyone. Well of course, do consult your doctor first.

there's one that's super popular in tempines.. i forgot the name. You have to make an appointment prior and consultation is like >$100++ usually runs into $200 but I've not heard a single customer from there that says the Dr isn't good.
"student" is a Neurologist not Dermatologist.
Best to stick to one doctor. Eczema tends to come and go with intermittent outbreaks. There are triggering factors including clothing, foods, even stress.

hey how is it? I just got this really stubborn rash around my waist for over 2 weeks. Seen two GPs but not helping. Thinking of going to national skin centre.
Any recommendations on any doctors? The rash is driving me nuts.
