Yes, that's the best way to get to BT. Take a bus all the way to T1 or T2 and there is a shuttle bus to BT, if it rains you will not get caught in it at all, covered all the way.

Just follow the signs as you climb the escalators from the MRT. It is to your right. You definitely cannot miss it. You will pass by several SIA offices. If you get lost just ask directions from any of the airport employees you will meet along the way.

I managed to take MRT to T2 and take the Free shuttle bus to BT. Just follow the information sign board
