Silly and senseless post. :thumbsd:

The photo used in Straits Times was contributed by a CSer, I think.

Downright insensitive. At first I thought it was a kid who made that remark, perhaps we can write it off as the ignorance of youth. Guess how old this guy really is?

You know what they say about karma......

Labrador Park has lots of bees about. The last time I went there in July, I saw this hive... Shot it from afar...

well, bees is one thing, they attack without any reason is another... this sounds like the cat case where a girl was being scratch. Too bad the news did not write if anyone went to kajiao the bees :dunno:

Yes, it was stated in the paper that it all started by a sec one student who was disurbed by a bee and then he hit back...

It is just one small bee. Sometimes in class, a small flying animal would fly in, and my classmates would go berserk! Come on! You are much bigger than that animal!

sad ah, I saw the news... the teacher were with other two or three teachers... also, one of the student smack a bee to the floor and the other step on it to kill it once and for all... then hell broke loose..

It doesn't sound like a bee attack, rather a hornet attack. Our local honeybees won't go on a rampage and usually their nests are abit small so they don't have the population to do much harm. I had a honey bee nest for 1.5 years at my place and it didn't cause any problems.

Hornets, on the other hand could create nests up to the size of a football (I know, cause I had a hornet nest under the eeves of my house), and they are AGGRESSIVE. Basically we tried to destroy it and in the end we had to hide inside the house and call pest control.
If one of their workers near the nest got attacked, they send out a chemical scent that would drive them in a frenzy in an instant.
