I'm spending my new year morning doing backups and still doing....

House keeping the 2006 files before backup them up into 2 copies in 2 different HD. Then clear them up from my computer working HD for working SPACE! This damn backup take hours. And damn boring expecially on a new year day. :(

Having high MP pixels cam is no fun. The files are getting larger and taking up more hd space.

I'm using more than 1,000 GB of diskspace for backup. Try this on your DVD.
But still better than the slides - taking up less space and easier to manage.

I feel you. :( What software are you using?

;p same sentiments.... have a couple of hundreds gigs used for backup. I burn to DVDs regularly too and for earlier pics, have 2 sets of DVD backup.

Got a Maxtor backup that backs up my working HD every now and then.

When the year ends, I'll just copy all the files to different HD lor... very slow using the USB connection. I tried installing a 2nd HD in my computer's 2nd HD slot but the speed is even slower.

you using raw files?
