Cons digger.
I've considered the PSP (playstation portable) as a photo viewer because of it's big and bright screen. Relatively cheap at $220 for a 2nd hand one.

Any other recommendations that has a screen as big and good as the PSP at a same or lower price?

Don't want to carry a bulky laptop with batteries that lasts only 4hours.

EPSON .... you will never be wrong!

creative zen vision w? 60gb? but i personally don't really like their service and i heard and have seen cases where the cf card slot pins break before the player itself spoils. =D

no, the PSP doesn't take CF but I'm not too concerned over media as I would have processed the photos and put in the storage medium (be it mem stick or CF) before displaying.

EPSON and Creative Zen vision screen how big? The net's still down at my side so I can't google for the specs.

is the PSP screen good for photo viewing? if so, I'm interested in one! haha

Here's the speccification of Creative Zen Vision W : http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=210&subcategory=211&product=15752&nav=1

In case you can't see the link, the screen size is about 95 x 55mm. Equavilant to 4.5 inch.

thanks for the info. i can't open the link still.. the net access out of sg is still down for my side.
Will scout around for the Zen vision :D If a second hand set is cheaper than the PSP then it's more worth to get this instead for the build in storage.

adamadam: Yes the screen's good and bright enough for me.

THANKS!

just found the 2nd price of the Zen W is around $400+ double the PSP.. :bheart:

nokia E61....can double up as a phone too..;p
i given up on nokia. later the thing hang on me, need firmware upgrade, out of memory for no reason or any other funny stuff then i sianz.. hahah

PSP Rock!!!! LOL.. if you play games , webby, music etc... Photos Viewing is possible. Getting a PSP JUST FOR photo viewing, I guess no no... $$$

actually i'm looking at the infamous ta082 firmware ver >2.8 sets that sells for around $200+ in the 2nd hand market. quite cheap. Considering how many 1GB mem sticks i can buy with the difference of a $450 zen Vision W (used) It's quite worth the 30GB :D Now I'm looking more into the details of both devices. :D

At least I got an alternative to PSP.

i've seen willy foo using a PSP to store his portfolio. impressive LCD screen. even under bright afternoon sun, we can still see the pics clearly.

but, as a photo storage ala epson p2000, unless someone out there invents a CF-MSPro converter, it will still require a laptop to transfer ur pics to PSP. IMO, this limits its use in the field. :embrass:
