How to make someone's face look slim in a photo

you're likely to be standing too close to her...
as a rough guide, if you are taking her photo with her facing you directly, close one of your eyes (since the camera has 1 lens while you have 2 eyes) and move back till you can see both her ears and zoom in with your lens to minimize distortion

most of the time we don't shoot people face straight on, it will llook like passport,
we will make them turn their face slightly turn to a side, and most people face is not symmetrical, so let the person turn the fatter side of the face toward camera if want to look slimmer,
to make the person face looks more rounder, you have to make the person turn the slimmer face towards camera.
if the subject has long hair, can ask her to let some of the hair to cover a little bit of the face, it will help make the face slimmer too.
if you know about lighting, to make a face slim you can use short lighting set up, means the shadow falls on the side of the face nearer to camera, board lighting will make the face looks rounder. or you can use negative fill at the side of the face if you don't intend to use short lighting set up.
if you think all these are too complicated, can use photoshop.

Most people will appear "fatter" on photo than in the real person.
You can lessen this effect by:
1. use longer focal length and take the subject from a longer distance
2. make-up
3. proper use of light
4. take care of shooting angle and head position
5. photoshop

I will keep them in mind and make use of them when i took photo for her the next time round Hope she will not complain she look fat in the photos anymore.
anyway, if the person turn his/her head to one of the side, then how do i capture both eyes since the head is not facing straight into the lens or there's no need to capture both eyes, just one yee will do?

In PS you can use the transform tool very slightly to make people look thinner, but i wouldnt transform it by more than 10% (so it would be at 90% i believe)

You left out photoshop. It is not a joke... you can use it to tweak the photo a little to make the photo looks more appealling... but you cannot make a 80kg person looks like 60kg.
You don't turn the person fully away from the camera.
It is not just turning the person's face. Coordinate with the lighting. Try different angles... eye level... higher than eye level... etc.
