Buy Cam Equipment from BKK?

Im going to BKK soon, wondering is it worth getting stuff from there? Better sale price then in Singapore? Not to mention HK stuff thou as Im not heading that.

Looking at Nikkor 17-55 or maybe Canon Body. :bsmilie: hmm...

Anyway, will you all recommend to buy things from DFS? Like Camera and PDA. I mean, since they so call tax free. Hee

One of the famous shop is at Level one of MBK (Mahboonkrong shopping centre). Think the shop name is Fotofile (forgot already).

Went to the shop this year oct. And although they got a range of lenses, the price, compared to SG is slightly higher. Eg. Canon 50 F1.8 cost about SGD$190 to SGD$200+ (if i can still remember.)

However, theres one small photo booth at level 4 or 5. They sell the 580EX at SGD$657. So cheap meh? I find it hard to believe cos the cheapest here is SGD$690. Someone its imported goods, can't be so cheap. But can't be grey set too cos the sales person show me the International Warranty.

Hmm.... i think to myself.... maybe the warranty card can be forged. Hence its wiser to buy from my hometown. You pay $33 more for a sense of assurance.
