Given up on Linux.

I using Solaris 10 6/06, now downloading 11/06.

Notebook running Mac OS X 10.4.8.

PeeCee(s) running Windoze2K, XP.

I no longer run any Mandrake, Fedora, Redhat, FreeBSD liao.

Running SuSE as my 2nd OS in my macbook thru parallels. Now i have Mac OSX, Windows XP(Boot Camp) and SuSE Linux(Parallels) all in one machine. :bsmilie:

unix very stable right?
It's as stable as the user can control the OS. WinXP is very stable as long as you don't install anything on it and don't connect to the internet.

what is that 6/06 and 11/06? :dunno:
Release(s). :D theorotically, it's 11/06 = Released Nov 2006. 6/06 = Released Jun 2006. :D

Yeah! Ubuntu user too! But only for work. At home still use windows cos of PS. Can dual boot to Ubuntu though... hehe

I only use Unix (Solaris) on servers at work. Rock solid.
On desktop, I have to use XP Pro (no choice because of apps).
I prefer FreeBSD over Linux myself.

Theres Gimp! Recently, edited some photos using Gimp, find it quite hard, but that was my first time using it. Quite ok if you ask me.

Hmm why? Now, when I boot into windows, feel so boring...

No Bridge, Camera Raw, Photoshop & Lightroom. GIMP is trash.

Install some games, you wont be bored.

linux on servers during work. at home still windows due to ps, webcam, eyeone

Hi,

I have never had much luck with Linux.

I have tried various versions on occasion over the past couple of years, but

there was always something that did not work one way or another.

Till now.

I am running Mepis on my second computer and it runs very well

Cool :)
