Hi ClubSnappers!

This is my first post here and have just returned from a holiday in Uniquely Singapore. I used to be in IT, worked 13 years for Brunei subsidiary of Singapore Computer Systems as Sales/Account/Operations Manager before deciding enough was enough, I needed a 360 deg change. Three years prior however, I started a business distributing/wholesaling Subaru (IHI) Turbochargers to buyers all over the world and made a name on the North American Subaru Impreze Owner's Club (NASIOC) following sales of over 1000 turbos later, the US dollar got weak and I relaunched my presence in photography professionally with portfolios in Event, Wedding and Commercial work.

I'm official Events photographer to HSBC, Standard Chartered, TAIB Bank/Insurans, Asia Inc Forum, Toyota/Lexus, Brunei Economic Development Board, Thano Advertising, and in my journey I have met and photographed with Air Asia's CEO Tony Fernandes, CNN's Lorraine Hahn, Manchester United's Retired Midfielded Striker Lou Macari, US Rock Band Population 1 (featuring former "Extreme" lead singer Nuno Battencourt)

I'm also personal photographer to Pehin Kapitan China Kornia Di Raja Dato Paduka Awg Lau Ah Kok who is the leader of the Chinese Community in Brunei and also the Chairman of Hua Ho Chain of Department Store.

I used to have a web gallery but a recent spade of FTP issues with the provider in the States had forced me to take the entire site down and I have since registered with Yahoo to host a new site called www.SHIMworld.com (no content yet). I do however have the following Blogs and a couple of galleries to share for now

http://shimworld.wordpress.com Blog: Why shooting for relatives sucks!
http://www.shimworld.com/gallery/Singapore/
http://www.shimworld.com/gallery/soba/ I made my fav Japanese Cha-Soba

Love to hear from you all! Been a member on Dpreview.com way too long. ClubSnap is a refreshing change!

As an unofficial member of an unoffical CS welcoming committee for new members I like to extend to you our warmest welcome.

Most CSers are a friendly lot and please take no notice of any reference to mountains as there are several climbers here but with no mountain to climb. :)

Hope to see more of your works.

Welcome to the club!

* togu continue his finding on a mountain to climb...

I only followed directions. As soon as I registered, a Private Message said to introduce myself in the Kopitiam section. I am not normally this talkkative but when appropriately inspired, I can be!

Welcome to CS

Nice pictures you have there, i see your family enjoyed your stay in Spore

Thanks. I don't think I've ever NOT enjoyed Singapore when I'm there on holiday with the family and also hanging out with friends and business associates whom I meet once in a bluemoon. I look forward to my next trip there .. it's so hip and happening!
