Just click on the Text Tool, and activate your chinese input s/w and type your words of wisdom in.... Voila!!! There you go... :)

Illustrator CS2, Indesign CS2, Photoshop CS2 can type chninese direct.. anyway CS3 is on the way.:)

If you enable the east asian languages feature in your windows xp you shd be able to input chinese.

For chinese fonts you shd be able to buy some in challenger or simply download thru internet.

Do a search in yahoo or google "chinese fonts for windows xp" you shd be able to locate some that allow you to download for free.

Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Language Tab -> check both boxes for Supplemental Language Support -> Click Details -> Click Add -> select PRC Chinese -> Chinese (Simplified) - US Keyboard. Restart Computer. There will be a new Language Bar appeared. Click and select CH and you can use hanyu pinyin to input:)

Download from here... http://www.sj00.com/soft/2/ free.

Goto control panel, Fonts, Select File, Install New Fonts...

It works on my Windows XP...I use it for my water mark...

The characters inside this picture are created with fonts downloaded from this website.

我的功力麻麻地而已.. 尽力而为.

more skilled personnels pls help up as I am not sure whether I'll do a good job explaining these..

Go to Control Panel -> Date, Time, Language and Regional options
-> Regional & Language options
-> choose the "languages" tab, under the "supplemental language support", check if "install files for east asian languages" are enabled, if not enabled it.
->after enabled/installed, besides the default english keyboard settings, you shd also choose a chinese keyboard settings that you are familiar with. e.g, Chinese(PRC) with pinyin or quanpin etc (ie 拼音 or 全拼, that's what I usually choose)

After that you should able to see a little icon on your taskbar that indicate "EN" which imply that you are currently using the default english keyboard, you click on it and it shall let you choose between the english keyboard or chinese keyboard type that you hv selected.

Go to your application where you are going to type the chinese characters, change the
language bar from "EN" to "CH" and you shd be able to start typing chinese already.. I hope..

Disclaimer: if you screw up your computer by following the above steps pls don't sue me hor.

You open your cs2. Click on the text tool. Click on your photo. Then you will see a small blue icon saying EN. Click on it change to CH and you should be able to input via hanyu pinyin. :)
