Apple vs Dell 20" & 24" LCD

Saw an apple 23" LCD and really like it but price is on high side, considering now which to get.

Can anyone advise on the picture quality between the 2 LCD?

On apple LCD the picture looks great, eg like a real picture printed on paper. Is Dell the same?

Other make I browse at sls can see the "pixel mark" clearly on the monitor.

I just received my Dell 2007wfp about a week ago. I tell you it is great. I wish I could have a 24" wide but this one definitely beats my old 19" CRT. The only problem you can have is the graphic card. I use a GeForce 7950GX2 on my main computer, and there it is very good, but on my old one the card can not handle the resolution, so with older graphic cards I think you'll have a problem.

Please note, the screen is very slow but I am not working with movies and not playing games, so I don't care and I don't know how that would be. For photo work it is very good and sharp.

Go to the Suntec Booth, ask for a special discount, they will take your name and call you back, I had 100$ discount on the price announced on the website.

The 24" rock, got it since couple of month I just love it, great to use with PS, great to surf the net AND doing something else aside...

Colors and contrast are excellent to my liking... just go for it ...

But the power consumption is high (100w for 24") = heat = hot. :sweat:

Think 20" will be good for my purpose. ;p

personally seen both and i would prefer having both

but anyway apple appears to give me a better impression of photos compared to dell... no scientific or technical data to back my claim but tts my own personal view after looking at both. I work with a 20" apple display most of the time and i like it a lot.
