The clear one is $90 and the cloud one is $91. Got one for my 420EX previously and never regretted since. After i sold my 420EX with the LS and upgraded to 580EX, i bought another LS for it.

Bottom line is.....it's very worth it!! Bounce card, omnibounce, etc all don't need already. The LS solves all! Go buy! :thumbsup:

I only have the latest LSPJII for SB800 not for the canon 580.

I still think original ones are better as they have the internal 'fins' to diffuse light better.

warmer or less warmer depends on the type of LSPJ II.

Depends on what you do frankly. The cloudy one diffuses better than the clear. I love it for close-ups. The clear one is good for fast action and situations where you can't afford the amount of flash intensity the cloudy one causes you to lose...

Both types serve different purposes. The cloud one also gives warmer colour but this can be done through adjusting colour temperature in the cam.
