PIN NUMBER REVERSAL (GOOD TO KNOW)


If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM
machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse.


For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The
ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you
placed in the machine.


The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to
The robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.


This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is
seldom used because people don't know it exists.

Yah, this is a true incident -- last time long time ago, there was actually one time when if you draw money from ATM, the money come out but the balance remained the same. Long queues at the ATM, siah ! The bank had to call police to chase after those people to return the money.

Sounds like a hoax. I'm sure the ATM will not withdraw any cash if the wrong PIN is entered.

I think Jurong Point's ATM machine spat out money non-stop few years back. They said "We have you in our CCTV. You must return the money" :bsmilie: wasted I wasn't there.

For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 001234. The
ATM recognizes from pin number you've keyed that your life is in danger and it will spit out a handgun for your protection.

If you haven't used a gun before, please key in 02 for instructions. For more bullets it's 03. And if you want to complain that the gun is not working please key in 04.
