A bit chim leh... I din know charging of batteries can be so complicated...

Btw, how do you guys manage a set of 5 batteries? (Nikon SB-800 can use 5 batteries)... But normally charger only charges 4 batt at a time... How ensure the 5th is the same power as the rest?

Hi,

Ya... if you have NiMH batteries that you didn't use for a long time or NiMH batteries that your current charger detect as "faulty", you can use all those functions to attempt to bring the NiMH battery back to life.

You can get the Maha Powerex MH-C801D Eight Cell NiMH/NiCd Battery charger which can charge up to 8 AA/AAA battery at once. You can get in from EastGear in Peninsula Plaza. I think I'll be getting one soon to replace my "too clever" :( ultra-fast NiMH battery charger.

Have a nice day.

Thomas distributing. Price is 59.97 each. Is it S$ or USD?

 Looking at the 1-800 phone number, it is probably a US site.

I would wait and see if Eastgear will bring it in.:bsmilie:

Battery charging is actually a very simple process for normal AA batteries.

All the features like break-in and cycling are hardly essential.

I have used professional chargers that cost $600 dollars (You see it right!). Cycling is typically only useful for high-end high current application. Normal users wont need to or bother to cycle their batts. Those who uses their batts often are already cycling their batt naturally already.

The only useful function in the Maha charger is the discharge function. Becos you can use it to check the performance of the batts and determine if they are still within reasonable charge holding capacity.
