Hi all, i have a friend who suffer from bald problem, may I know where he can go for hair treatment other than Beijing 101 and Yunnan? He has tried both but did not have significant improvement, can anyone suggest other hair specialist for him? Thanks.:)

Your friend must be quite well off to have completed yunan and beijing courses. Each easily sets one back with a 5k~8k bill... with all the purchases.

I have a friend who went bald due to old age. He remained bald (on top of his head) for more than a decade. Recent two years, he tried something different and i actually saw hair growing back on his head over time. While it may be hard to believe, what he did was he turned into a vegetarian and did some message on his scalp daily. Then i saw hair growing back over the half year period and now he looks alot younger.

But if baldness was caused by cancer treatment or medication, it would be rather hard to get them back.

Anyway, baldness makes a person look wiser and is quite acceptable. What matters more is how one person carries himself and also his dress sense.

There are many things one can do to revive the hair root without wasting precious money. I won't want to list them here since there might be some real experts reading this.

The worst treatment is to go for transplant. Those transplanted hair won't stay very long and when they fall of, each formerly transplanted hair will leave a red dot on the scalp. Multiply that by 1000 dropped transplanted hair and you will see an red head from far.

Whether bald or not bald, we are all beautiful in our very own way.

Disclaimer: I am not associated to any hair beauty/grooming/clinic/treatment centre. Just my POV and sincerely sharing from a genuine spirit.

try normal GP first, there are some western medicines which can be used for treatment of male patern hair lost, though it's not 100% effective also, depend on individual, but as least those are clinically proven to work on some people.

Once I saw in Extreme Makeover, they had an ultimate cure for a chromedome.
The 'dug' out remaining hair from the back (with the roots attached) and planted it at the front. Didn't know you can treat your hair like trees but it seemed to work. Still, the treatment is very expensive I guess..ask you friend go look for Dr. Woffles Woo!!

My friend is at age of 25. He went bald becasue I think his skin get hurt when he dye his hair, most probably the chemical was over dose. It had been already 2 years. He did try to change his eating habit like eating black sesame etc but not much improvement overall, yup I think he spend quite big sum of money already for hair treatment but to no avail. He heard that there are some other hair specialists out there other than the two that I mentioned before. Can anyone suggest?

I think if the hair follicles are damaged it's quite hard actually to restore back to original, I can only say brush the scalp vigourously every 3hours. This massaged the scalp and circulate the blood to help give the hair follicles some chance to recover.

The 2 "proven" western medicine are:
- Propecia, it is a tablet u need to eat daily, only available from doctors, abt $91 for 1 month supply, it is supposed to help grow "new hair"
- Regain, it is a lotion u apply to head daily, available from pharmacy eg Watsons, abt $90 for 1-2 months supply, it is supposed to stop "hair loss"

There are other chinese medicine, etc, I am not sure which one work, it depends on individuals, in general, most ppl advise to avoid food with heavy msg, soya source, etc.

yes it's possible. I remember reading a news report that a surgeon transplanted some skin from a burnt victim's head to his leg and because he cut too deep, the hair folicle got taken out and transplanted as well. He had a patch of hair growing on his tigh as a result.

no thanks. I got enough hair. Anyway I wun know if it's the real stuff cos I've never tasted any before. :bsmilie: did you?
