hi pepz...
need your help in this! just got e manfrotto 486RC2 ballhead from a CSer today and tried to fix on my slik pro 400DX tripod but the screw thread doesnt fit... think it fits the U3/8 11mm (5/12") instead of the U3/8 8mm (1/3")... how le? any souls offer me some advise please... :embrass:

you should be able to get a sort of converter, seen before at CP marina.

The screw on top o fmany tripods typically can be unscrewed and reversed, the other end may be the bigger diameter screw...take a look at your tripod if the screw can be taken out and reversed...

try to take out the screw and reverse it, should be 2 sided. Watch out as the threads can cut.

i have tried it bro... but itz fixed... there is no way i can reverse it... but on the tripod manual says tt, "On this tripod, please buy Thread Adapter Set when the Pan Head that there are large screw (U3/8) tripod installation screw is attached" <<---

Go to any shop and tell them you need a Slik adapter for Manfrotto ball heads.
I think CP sells them for $2 or $3 only.

hi... i just got back from CP Peninsular Plza and they told me itz outta stock! anywhere else can i get the thingy apart from CP? :embrass:

it's a very common small converter that looks like a screw with a hollow centre.

did u try some of the shops upstairs like K13 at P.Plaza, TCW, Ruby or even John 3:16 at Funan?
