Newbie Online Store Website Probs

Hi all,

As mentioned above in the title, I just started a tiny online sales biz featuring female clothes apparrel. Quite moderately acceptable sales, major problem lies on the phototakings. Previously was taken by a friend photographer with a SLR camera. I am having the thought of taking over the photography.

Now the questions lies here.

Do I necessary need a DSLR to take photoshoots of a female model wearing the clothes. Are normal compact cameras above 6.0mp effective enough?

Nope u dun need DSLR, cos i doubt even give u DSLR u will know how to use it...

Are normal compact cameras above 6.0mp effective enuff? more than enuff... u basically just need a 2mp camera will do since u will need to downsize and crop the image, u won't need anything more than 4mp for web actually.

fm the photo tat is in ur site...any camera abv 3mp is sufficent...the rest is plbvf...

is the lady in the photos you? if not... i think any compact digicam above 3mp can give you the desired pics. Now it's just how creative you are in "showing off" the clothes you are selling.

also make sure to RTFM and use the scene mode without flash

The pictures seem to be compressed to a very low quality... I bet customers will want to see the pictures more clearly...
